Last Thursday was infield orientation, and well it was the longest day ever. We just sat around and they talked about their missions. Cool stories but not worth a whole day. It was a nice break from the TRC though. I wore my retainers that night and I don't think I really knew what pain felt like until I woke up that morning and tried to eat. It was like I got braces on again. So I am trying to be more consistent with wearing them. President Smith came that day and talked about personal revelation.
Friday I accidentally didn't eat a good breakfast, and well long story short I cried because I got so Hangry. So I was like "WELCOME TO THE REAL ME GUYS" my district did not know what to do with me it was actually really funny.
Saturday I said goodbye to my teacher brother Nielsen and I started to freak out because I remembered that I was leaving the safety of the MTC.. So that was not fun. Also I saw a boy from my English class up at BYUI and that was pretty fun! We took a picture because I was like "someone I finally know!!" and It was his second day so he was kinda still in freakout mode.
Sunday I said goodbye to my branch president and his wife and I was so sad. They became my mom and dad away from home, so that was a hard day. I actually taught relief society and talked in sacrament meeting that day.. so #blessed. It wasn't as scary as I thought It was going to be but I did it!
Monday I said goodbye to my other teacher Sister Evans who is the sweetest.
Tuesday was the longest day. Woke up at 3 am and then flew out of my homeland to Georgia where a nice man let us use his phone to call home. So sorry they were short, but I still love you. I just didn't want to use his phone too long. I met President Walkenhorst who is two inches taller than Bry so I didn't even flinch when I saw him. Everyone else was freaking out and then I realized, "oh he is abnormally tall"
Wednesday I met my Trainer. She is from Nampa Idaho, Sister Washburn is her name and she is wonderful. We get along so well. She is very patient with my talkativeness when it is just us, and with my quietness during lessons. We are in Ponca city where it is full of Okie-talkers (who if you think I talk fast...man you have no idea. and they don't let you leave until they have caught you up on the last 60 years of their life.. lessons are really long here because of that.)
Thursday and Friday were full of lessons and OYM's which we have to Open Your Mouth 10 times a day, which you would think that was so easy, but man It is terrifying. I AM SCARED OF STRANGERS. Plus people are actually rude here so thanks for everyone telling me they are nice. Also think about the number of LDS church buildings there are in Utah county, then have our stake center be the only one that is actually LDS, then ALL the rest are different churches. I didn't know there were so many different religions in the world. So I am learning A LOT. Also someone compared Joseph smith to Mohammad and I had no idea how to recover.. so advice would be wonderful.
Oh and My bike tire popped on Friday so that was fun. I made the elders change it for me so I didn't have to get dirty.
The elders and us serve in the same ward which is huge. They have half and we have the other. We have Newkirk city in our part and they have most of Ponca.
Sunday we went to church and I had to bear my testimony and EVERYone talked to me after. We had an investigator come to church, so that was really cool.
Life is great. Keep on keeping on. LOVE YOU FAMILY!!.
Love,
